Short information about the youth club
- Meet: Meet at Corse and Staunton Village Hall on the first three Fridays in each month - except for School holidays.
- Who: 6.30 pm 8:00pm each week for young people aged 7 10. 8:00pm - 9.30pm each week for young people aged 11 - 16
- Costs: pound; 5 on joining (year runs from September) £1 each week on attending
- What: The club have pool table, air hockey table, table football, computer Games board games, crafts, music and fab tuck shop every week. Specials the club has a Games Workshop once a month, and visits from Young Gloucester Road shows, for example circus skills and team games, Easter crafts. We also have special fun like African drumming, Halloween night and Christmas disco party.

History of the Youth Club
The youth club was initiated by Corse and Staunton Village Hall Committee, the Chairman Nigel Gisby asked Brian Classen to set up a meeting to find out who might be interested in running a Youth Club at the hall to serve the youth of the two parishes of Corse and Staunton . From this meeting, a Youth Club Management Committee was set up with Charlie Bayliss as the Chairman - after a lot of planning and research, Corse and Staunton Youth Club opened in September 2001. Current information: Youth Club runs on the first three Fridays in the month during school time. 6.30 8:00pm is for persons aged 7 10. 8:00pm - 9.30pm is for persons aged 11 - 16. During the year September 2002 - July 2003, the youth club had 97 registered members with an average of 55 attending each week. We are a registered member of Young Gloucestershire and receive a lot of support from them.
Costs
There is an application form to complete and an annual registration fee of £5 to cover the costs of insurance, admin, newsletters etc. Each week, there is an additional charge of £1 to go towards the costs of hiring the hall.
Activities
The club usually has table tennis, pool, air hockey, table football, computer games, board games, a craft activity and once a month a war games challenge. When the youth club can, they make use of the large playing fields at the back of the hall to play outside games - football, netball, French cricket for example. The club also have special nights, a typical special night would be - Christmas Disco party, Halloween night, circus skills, African drumming / music night, karaoke, team games, glass painting and the club also took part in the Inter county football tournament run by Young Gloucestershire. One of the clubs members also successfully took part in the Young Citizens Scheme.
